CHIKUNGUNYA VIRUS
1. A viral disease carried by Aedes mosquitoes that can result in fever,
headache & long-lasting joint pain. Chikungunya can become more severe.
2. Most of the cases in the US are travel-related.
3. There is no vaccine available so the only way to avoid the disease is to
prevent mosquito bites with mosquito control barriers like nets or repellents.
